This program focuses on utilizing the appropriate exercises to not only build strength, speed and agility, but to also reduce the risk of injury. It is designed to educate young athletes on the fundamentals of strength training and how it translates to their sport. They will gain an understanding of how to properly and safely approach the weight room by exploring how their bodies move, learn the importance of proper form and movement patterns and gain an awareness of their opportunities for improvement.
Summer class times only
F.A.S.T. CLASS II (Grades 8 - 12)*
*We strongly recommend that the athlete be knowledgeable in compound lifts, have experience in weight training ad be aware of proper movement and positioning for their body type. *
This program is the second step in our F.A.S.T. Class series. It is designed to develop strength through various movement patterns such as squats, deadlifts, overhead pushing/pulling etc. that were learned in the F.A.S.T. Class I program. Focus is placed on the progression of these lifts where the athletes begin to "get after it" and introduce an increase in load and repetitions. While the concentration in F.A.S.T. Class I is on education and instruction, F.A.S.T. Class II is a structured workout utilizing the athlete's newly learned skills to make them stronger, faster and better in their given sport.
